Natali's credits include Splice, starring Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley, as well as the cult psychological thriller Cube. Splice was released in thousands of theaters nationwide by Warner Brothers last Friday following a sensational debut at the Sundance Film Festival.
I LOVED Cube....I'm still worried he'll step on my childhood, but I'm hopeful...

I remember when Neuromancer came out fir the C64 and they had a label on the box 'soon to be a major motion picture'.

If you are a fan of the book, then there is no way the movie will live up to expectations.  Ive found it best, when a good book is adapted, to try to seperate the movie from the book and hopefully enjoy the movie on its own merits.  I tend to be greatly disappointed otherwise.

I like the sound of this and have some hopes that it will be good. Not only did I like Natali's Cube, but I also quite liked his Cypher. And I've been hearing great things about Splice which he didn't just direct, but also cowrote the script. As well, he has something that I consider to be a real plus for a Sci-Fi director - he's a legendary story board artist. I doubt any movie can really capture the AAA quality of the book, but Natali teamed with Gibson might just result in a damn good movie.

I liked Johnny Mnemonic Truthiness!

as did i, in a guilty pleasure, but i felt like it was pretty disjointed and could have been a lot better. casting "whoa" as the lead made it too corny and took the movie in a different direction.  all in all, the casting was pretty wacky, from the red head junkie to the dr to ice-t as a rebel.  some of those scenes are just plain bad.

this one is so bad it almost circles around to good again.  almost.

Q&A with the director.  it's hit the pre-production stage.
