I have a Sharp 70" LED TV on the way and I need a recommendation for a wall mount. I've seen a few in the $120-$150 range but then they jump up to the $500 range almost immediately. I don't need anything that swivels or adjusts in any way other than the viewing angle up/down. I'd also entertain the idea of a stand which will support it as an alternative since I'll also need somewhere to plant the stereo, XBox 360 and Wii. Let me know your thoughts.

I think I found one that does everything I want which is basically hang the TV on the wall. Not bad for less than eleven dollars.

Make sure you see where the connections go.... I have seen some tv's that have the connections in the back and when you use an ultra low mount, you can't plug anything in... Also, a swing mount is something to consider, just for the ease of making the connections.... one is my tv's is a PITA to connect..

I would presume you'd just have a pair of muscular servants hold it up.

Have you seen the rates at huskymanservant.com lately? Maybe if I reduced the number of bath boys to just three and cut back to just one hot oil Masseur/Masseuse.... No! I shant live like a savage. I'll just have to enjoy my hot oil rubdowns while watching my ginormous TV hung upon the wall.

He's going to use his balls to hold it up. His big, hairy cajones.

check this out http://www.dealextreme.com/p/hdmi-male-to-female-video-converter-adapter-black-41282 this should allow for HDMI connections 'regardless' of distance between bracket and walls (within reason of course)

Just be careful with making holes in your walls. From what I understand that sometimes voids homeowner's warranties and fire safety code...

Got it home and installed yesterday. I still have a lot of tweaking and cleanup to do but the wife insisted we get the thing installed before Wipeout came on. We actually finished the install while Wipeout was running but we got it done before the action started so she was happy. Unboxing. The TV behind it is the 52" rear projection that has now been passed down to the younger daughter. We had to move our big DVD shelf to make room for the new TV. I had to recruit a friend to help get the thing up on the wall as our house is primarily filled with girly type womenz. And there it is. Damn, it's already starting to look too small. I will start cleaning up the wires tonight and I will need to find a better shelf for the stereo and maybe get the speakers mounted. I might also angle the DVD shelf to fill in that blank bit of wall.

I'm just relieved that none of the pictures feature your penis. Trust is earned, friend. It is earned. Also, go nuts with getting those 90° adapters (or 270° ones). You don't have to wait 1000 years from dealextreme, just head over to monoprice.com. [edit]Damned charmap mixup.

I expected more firearms in the living room so, how bad were you sweating when you finally let go of it to make sure it's stay? if I did that I'd have been ready to throw myself under it to break it's fall if something went wrong.

The guns are all in the bedroom in the safe. Except for the .45 and .38 which are kept close to the bed where they can be grabbed in case of a late night zombie outbreak.
I hung some weight on the mount before putting the TV on there. Just to be sure.
