I need an idea of a good dinner for tonight to make for friends and their teenage kids.  I'll have about 20-30 minutes to cook it.  Any good suggestions?

Here's a sure-fire winner:

1) Open phone book to "Pizza"
2) Find number for Pizza Hut
3) Place order for several large pepperoni pizzas
4) Watch the game until the pizzas arrive

Total cooking time: 30 minutes or less or your pizza is free.

Go to Asian Legend.  It's the best Chinese food you'll ever have, even if you live to be 100 and move to Hong Kong.

If looking to cook something I always have good luck with pasta.  Grab some chicken and pan fry it with some flour, cook some penne, and either buy or make a nice sauce for it.  Throw together a salad or something... viola!

BBQ

In that time, you could cook some steaks, burgers, hot dogs, or shish-kebabs.  You could do chicken, but you'd have to pre-cook it in the oven first and then just finish it on the BBQ.

Pretty easy meal, virtually no clean-up required.

Um, although Chaz has a cool idea...

How about: beef stew w/ cornbread?

Easy and I think a good fall meal  biggrin
