I need a small group of people to test out some new forum software in a few days. You'd need to essentially post, play with your profile, click on everything and make sure it works, and provide feedback on your overall experience. What is good about it, what needs work, what features are missing, etc. EMAIL me if you are interested.

What, punking warning there wasn't considered a successful test? Hehe, this would be the first of many opportunities. This test will occur on our own server and I'll be attempting a full conversion this evening. We'll see how it goes.

Ran into a conversion hiccup, but the first swat at this by a novice (me) was fairly encouraging. I'll work out the oops and see what I can do this afternoon. Once the data is in place, testing begins for everyone who emailed me. Even whiteboyskim. (Sorry warning)

The conversion went a little further this evening with Eldon's help. Seems we had some forum records had wandered off by themselves and had to be dealt with accordingly. As such, El will be working in the forum db and cleaning it up for the big show. Shouldn't be more than a day or two before we can get you testers in there.

In other news Whitey has been summarily banned from the new forums. I transferred his account to www.furries.com.

As already posted on that modified forum, I like it. A drastic upgrade to what we have here. As Purge said though (and KS already said he was working on), it really needs a BlackGold type color scheme.

Out of curiousity, why the need for black/gold, is it just for nostalgia of remembering Gone Gold? I find the black scheme incredibly difficult to read.

I find the white background to be a bit too bright. Maybe if we went scarlet and grey.....

I'm a fan of the black background as well; I personally don't associate it with long-gone gold or anything, it's just easier on my eyes.

Actually, if you look under the Profile settings on GT, you'll see that the color scheme (Board Style) is called BlackGold. Hence why I call it what I call it. But yeah, it's far easier on these aging eyes of mine. Blame the bright LCD monitors I usually surf the site on.
