Need a web-hosting recommendation, please.

Anyone had any good or bad experiences they'd like to share regarding hosting for a small (read: small) business websites?  I'm in the planning stages of starting one, and I'm not inclined to go with the folks at whois.net.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Excellent service, including a 1-800 number that is actually manned by humans! I've had nothing but good experiences with them so far.

I, too, have had good luck with 1and1.   I use it to run my church's web-site.   Not a lot going on there, but that's due to our needs and my time, not any limitation at 1and1.

All the hosts listed above have good reputations, but I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Dreamhost, who I've been with for a year and a half. I have no recollection of downtime beyond brief (and rare) scheduled maintenance.
