Film Noir anyone?

Well I realized that as much as I don't enjoy watching a lot of the movies and their genres I see posted here that most of you guys probably have no interest in my presentation of the films that got us here.
This is considered one of the quintessential film noir movies. Many people thought it should have won the 1947 oscar for best movie. And if it is american film noir from the 40's then it probably has Robert Mitchum. Also one of the first movies of another future big star;

i do like that era of movies,especially Noir,but admittedly not seen that many,the only one i can think of right now is The Maltese Falcon(that's not a guess at the film BTW)...and the nearest i have come to the rest is probably Steve Martins 'Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid'


as for the film,off course i recognize the two actors,so IMDb tells me that it is Build my Gallows High(original title 'out of the past')

Well, I've answered this one twice and never got confirmation either time so a Google search has confirmed it to be Dinosaur.

Dinosaur was OK, not great but OK.  It's more or less about a dinosaur raised by lemurs if you can believe that.   

That is Goldie Hawn but definitely NOT Swing Shift.

It was Dinosaur, and there were some fantastic meshes of real world cinematography coupled with CGI dinosaurs.
