someone launched a missile 35 miles out to sea north of Catalina Island, and the kicker?

Quote
Senior Pentagon and Navy officials told NBC News that they did not know who launched the missile.

it'll be interesting to find out who is behind this.

What I want to know is where did said missile LAND? I mean, they just don't shoot these things upward without a target, and gravity will affect everything in the end.

At this point it will never be "solved" - sure, we might have a reasonable explanation for everything, but the nutcase population has decided to grab onto this with all their strength. Anything coming from anyone that sounds remotely everyday is a cover-up! We live in a world of mystery, spies, and rogue missile launches!

Can you imagine if it really was a plane and the pilot decided to do some aerobatic maneuvers? UFOlogists would be crapping their pants trying to figure out what kind of earthly machine could make those kinds of maneuvers.

More missiles spotted in mid Michigan!

Their trails converge near the ground so they obviously all originated from the same silo complex. What isn't the Obama Administration telling us??

A Danish politician has claimed it was his fault, and that the missile was intended for a political competitor.

There is really no explanation other than it is the first stage in an multistage rocket.  Nothing else will put out a contrail like that.  The only way to prove or disprove this is to find out the speed it was going, which would be in the radar records.  Those will probably stay a secret cause we are too scared to admit to who was testing missiles off our cost.  My guess is China.

Ok, so where was it launched? US doesn't have train based missiles. The closest silos are at Vandenberg AFB and their launches aren't secret. You don't just drive up and launch a missile that big.

Also having seen a half dozen missile launches in person, closer than any civilian could ever be, you only see the thing for a minute at best. That thing was way too slow to a missile.
