She heard a song earlier today.   She thinks it was a new one by Rascal Flatts.  It started out slow, and got faster.  It had the words "fight for love" in the chorus.  Can anyone identify this for me so I can have some peace in my life this evening (just kidding, sweetheart, please put down that gun no----

Ah, the old "My wife heard this.." the only song that comes to mind is Glory of Love by Peter Cetera but that's old and I'm not sure if it has fight for love in there or not.

You'll have to ask your "wife" ( icon_wink) if she can come up with a few extra lyrics to help out in the search.

So is this country radio, top 40 pop, a "soft rock" station or what?

New Rascal Flatts "Stand" video

Lyrics:

Quote
"Stand"

You feel like a candle in a hurricane
Just like a picture with a broken frame
Alone and helpless
Like you've lost your fight
But you'll be alright

[Chorus:]
Cause when push comes to shove
You taste what you're made of
You might bend, till you break
Cause its all you can take
On your knees you look up
Decide you've had enough
You get mad you get strong
Wipe your hands shake it off
Then you Stand, Then you stand

Life's like a novel
With the end ripped out
The edge of a canyon
With only one way down
Take what you're given before its gone
Start holding on, keep holding on

[Repeat Chorus]

Everytime you get up
And get back in the race
One more small piece of you
Starts to fall into place
Ooohhh

[Repeat Chorus]

If this isn't it, start with the basics.  What genre was the music and what was the format of the station?  Male or female vocalist?  Any other lyrics she can think of?  Answer some or all of these questions and we can make the crazy go away.

Why didn't she just call the radio station she heard it on? Or hell, visit the station's Web site and read the playlist.

First time I heard Rascal Flatts it was 'Broken Road' and I thought it was a girl singing.  It also struck me odd that they would play 'What Hurts the Most' on Dick Clarks New Years Eve- kinda a derpressing song to kick off the New Year.....

Seeing your damned icon the left is depressing enough, CK.

And just a little disturbing. Change it. I never wanna see those two "fight for love".

Back to the topic : I've never heard Rascal Flatts. Are they any good, or just good for the wife?

Well, noun, probably because she is a human being, and either didn't think of it, or was driving to work or something.  Besides, this is exactly the kind of thing we like to help each other out with here!   icon_cool

They're sort of like a country version of the Backstreet Boys, but without all the depth. And there's only three of them.
