So this is not my morning. On my way to work this morning I love-tapped a guy on a bike. I was trying to round the corner, he waved me on and then darted out in front of me from the sidewalk. No damage to my car, no damage to his bike. So whats his natural reaction? He starts swinging punches at me! So I'm trying not to have to fight this guy, I'm blocking what he is throwing and its just making him more mad. Finally he gets one shot in and hits me in the damned ear. Instant Fight Club moment..."Why the EAR?!" So I shoulder lock him and he keeps fighting so I threw him to the pavement. He gets back up and I told him he needs to stop before I hurt him. He lunges at me again and gets to meet Mr. Pavement again. He gets back up and rages towards me again and I put him to the pavement for a third time. At this point the cops roll up and send us to our seperate corners. The cops came over and inspected my hands to see if it was true that I hadn't hit him. (thankfully there was a witness) So the end result? I get to pay the city 185 bucks (failure to yield ticket) and he got a free ride in the patrol car with a big stack of tickets. Apparently you can add "Bike Rage" to the list of Road Rage categories.

Wow, that is a rough morning. Glad you didn't kill him.
It sucks that you were fined for not yielding though, even though he motioned you to come on. Boy did you did you show some restraint by not punching him. I can't say I would have been able to restrain myself.
Hope your day gets better.

Man, it sounds like this guy was drunk or something. It'd be funny to find out what happens to this guy, what kind of tickets and fines he has to play.

That's pretty sweet. $185 bucks is worth it. You don't have a video for us to see?
*realizes he's not watching Spike TV*
Sorry, man. I hope your day improves.

Ron is a well trained martial arts person, so he's capable of the incredible restraint he displayed with the guy.
Anyway, that definitely blows Ron. The crazies out there...you just don't know when you're going to meet them, you know?

Not worse than my morning. A similiar experience in the car, except my transmission is now done with.

Ron is a well trained martial arts person, so he's capable of the incredible restraint he displayed with the guy. He's also quite capable of tearing a person to pieces using only his pinkie, so he's not exactly someone you want to voluntarily go toe-to-toe with. Some people just snap for no reason, you know? I mean, I can understand the gaming community exploding after actually playing Black & White, but this clown on the bike had no justification. Just crazy.

Apparently we had a "Failure.....to communicate." The only part that bugs me is that I did my best and he still got a shot in. Guess I'm getting rusty. I need to graduate and get back to training apparently...

Well, to his defense, maybe he had just played Black & White for the first time, before going on the road. That game takes a long, long time to exit the system.

That's right Ron, stop learning how to help people and start re-learning how to kill them! You're getting sloppy in your old age, mate. I think we may have to send Tim to your place covertly to test your skills. I'm thinking Kato vs. Inspector Clouseau here.

Heya Michael. You've fought me before so you probably have a good idea of how this went down. I still can't figure out why he hit me in the ear....

He landed a hit, man. That right there should point out that you need to get your ass back in the gym. Once CS: Source hits and you set up a CG server, that will get you back in the killing mood, methinks. Hence, you'll be motivated to get back to the gym and re-learn the art of snapping people in half as an after-thought.

Think he'll come after you when he's out of jail, after he's been had in the rear by 30 or so jailmates, and made a fortune selling contraband cigarettes?

First the guy tells you to go, then he gets mad for you bumping him? Sounds like the moron has some anger management problems or some other deficiency. At least you were able to get some hands-on training in.

All I know is I wouldn't want fight you for real (win or lose I wouldn't want to, LoL.) Bravo for not murdering this guy, though, especially after the wanker hit you in the ear.

...and NOW? That's right...he just called my insurance company, reversed himself and is filing a claim on my insurance. SO now I get to file assault charges, have him arrested, go to court, beat the ticket and he gets to look like an ass. It would have been less work to just kill him....sigh.

for some reason, after reading your story, I pictured Ron as a Six Foot Three 250 pound guy wearing Black Jeans, a white T-shirt and a really bad mullet, you know flat top with the mullet, just throwing this guy around on the ground.
Shame this guy doesn't realize that he can't collect insurance checks or ride his bike while serving time for assault and getting bitch slapped around in jail.

Yep, ex military, but my wife is my Allstate Rep.
And that is pretty fair assessment. I'm 5'11" and about 240lbs. Black jeans yes, but with a dress-casual shirt. And yes, I did rag-doll his sorry ass around.
