...and I can't blame her!

I have been making a corned beef in the crock pot.  It's new, the crock pot.  Well, actually this whole "cooking" thing is new to me.  So I was told to leave it on low all night.  So I have the delicious smell of corned beef, carrots, potatoes, onions, and cabbage wafting through my apartment.  And the cat is going absolutely crazy.  She's on the counter (bad!), she's laying on the kitchen floor, she's running full speed through the house.  It's amazing.  It's making my gums itch, the smell.  I just want to pick up the giant slab of meat and take a big bite out of it like one would an apple.

Hey, it only has 10 more hours to cook!

My cat's is going insane.  And so am I.

I love corned beef! I can't believe you're not having Rutebegas, though, man those are tasty! You've got everything else, you just needed rutebegas.

I don't think I've ever had rutebegas.

It was certainly worth the wait.  It turned out great!  Everything was fantastic.

I'm going to check these rutebegas out and add a couple to the mix next time!

Trust me, they are delicious, they compliment the patoes really well. They are really sweet and flavorful. And if you don't like them they shouldn't affect the flavor of anything else in the pot.

Man, all this talk of corned beef. I need make some now. God I love that stuff.

Anyway, congratulations on the cooking thing, sounds like your first experience was quite satisfactory smile

P.S. I hope you shared with the cat slywink

Thanks, it was my first time really trying to do something from scratch.  It was pretty easy since I didn't have to worry about timing things to come out together or too much prep.

As for the cat, of course I shared.  She demanded it!  It seems I live only to serve her whims.
