I personally can't stand having mushrooms in anything I eat.  Just don't like the taste and flavor.  So that got me thinking - what does everyone think of mushrooms?

I like mushrooms, in moderation of course. Good on Pizza, burgers, with lots of meats, etc. Portebello grilled rules.

They pretty much all make me violently ill.

Even if they didn't, after having occasional bouts of Athlete's Foot I have no desire to eat a fungus.

Wow, looks like I'm the one "love em" vote.  I think they are great.  At this place here in Phoenix called the Elephant Bar, they make a mushroom salad.  Its a vinaigrette over super-thin sliced mushrooms.  Best salad ever.

Mushrooms are great when you get a group of friends together and chill out to some Pink Floyd.

Ingesting fungus just doesn't sound particularly appetizing to me.   puke

I join Ron in the "love 'em" camp.  I know a lot of people that hate them, but I find them great.  One of the few vegetables I actually don't mind raw.

Just rinse the shit off and we're good to go!

I don't eat them often, but marinated and grilled portabello mushrooms are fan-freakin'-tastic.

I never request them on anything but I won't really pick them out if they come on pizza or something.  The flavor doesn't really do anything for me and the texture is pretty horrid.  Like trying to eat slimy slugs or something.

Disliked them as a kid, but like them ok now, especially on pizza and burgers.  My tastes apparently changed a lot as I grew up...I hated mushrooms, green pepper, onion, and sauerkraut as a kid, but I like all of 'em now.

Mushrooms don't digest well with me.  It usually ends in painful gas buildup to the point where I just want to stick a knife in my stomach, so I avoid them.

Locally in late summer and early fall we get puffballs around here that are pretty good. Occasionally I'll find some morels too. They're kind of rubbery and not as good as regular mushrooms are far as I'm concerned. Puffballs have a little bit milder taste than regular mushrooms too.

I'll eat them as part of another dish, but not as the primary ingredient in a dish.

For example, I like chicken marsala, but I won't eat stuffed mushrooms.  I like pizza with peppers and mushrooms, but I won't have a grilled portabello sandwich.

You get the idea.

Mostly dig 'em, though not on pizza.  If they're really thin sliced so that they kinda dry out and get almost crunchy I like 'em on pizza.  If they're canned mushrooms that are slapped on a pizza, they end up slimy and gross.  Blech!

Mushroom and swiss burgers are tasty.

Button mushrooms sauteed in butter and garlic pretty much kick ass with a nice steak.

I like to chop up crimini or baby bellas and stick 'em in my meaty tomato sauce and seafood cream sauce.

Mushrooms is good.

Mostly, no thank you.  If they are sauteed just right, in the proper recipe, I actually enjoy them.
