Ok Id dismiss this movie straight away BUT it stars Kristin Kreuk as Chun-Li. I could stare at her all day and night smile

You know, I actually enjoyed Dead or Alive the Movie. It was bad in a good way. Chalk it up to a guilty pleasure of mindless stupidity and glorious T&A.

I'd say that this is a crappy, campy B movie, but now with the Street Fighter name attached to it, it looks like total bunk.

Hehe...well you just have to view the SF II Animated movie to know that the tree thighs in the game aren't needed in a movie.
Although I've liked Kristin Kreuk in a few movies, I can't help but feel she's completely miscast in the role of Chun-Li. Can't imagine why Capcom wouldn't use an Asian actress for that role. That poor decision alone more or less makes this movie a fail from the get go.

The main problem is I just don't think I can buy her as a martial arts expert... that said, I'll at least give it a go on netflix if I don't see it in the theater. I too enjoyed the campy Dead or Alive movie despite its many many flaws.

Yes I realize she's 1/2 Chinese, in fact she's from my home city of Vancouver, Canada. I probably wasn't clear enough, but I was thinking more along the lines of an actress from the Hong Kong or Chinese cinema where there's numerous actresses experienced in portraying martial arts characters. I don't understand why a Japanese company wouldn't choose such an actress to fill that role, especially considering they maintain a corporate office in Hong Kong.
