If it also starred "the skull who can act" then the movie was in 1984. And if I'm right on this, I don't count as I had to look it up.

Here's another quote from the same film to help... "I don't hate people. I just like it a lot better when they're not around."

Ok, back at it...stuntgibbon really stumped us all with that one:
"Harold, you're my lawyer, so I think you should know... I've killed quite a few people."

agreed that has to be the Bateman line from American Psycho. Why don't you go ahead and put up the next quote while we wait for Ron to respond so that the game can keep going.

OK...this may be hard or easy depending on which movie genres you watch.
"I've invested a lot of time in you." "In me?" "Before you ever knew me, I knew about you."
Good luck!

Nope, note my genre line. You need to go beyond mainstream (your first hint).
I took these lines from this particular movie because it didn't create a Google hit or anything on the movie. There were other lines that did create a Google hit, but this is a pretty strong part of the movie honestly.
Truman Show and Dragonheart probably have lines simliar to this, however neither of those are the movie I am thinking of.

First clue outside of the genre thing. This movie was released theatrically in 1995.

Google won't save you now! I know the answer, but I want to see how far this one goes. Truly, this one is hardly even fair, Fox! Still, I won't spoil it since I don't have a good quote lined up.

No to the last 3. I know there are fans out there and I'm going to guess Chris knows it. Why don't you e-mail me your answer. If you guys need another clue, let me know.

New clue time it seems:
This movie was a major jumping on point for many people to the genre it represents, although there were movies in the genre that were popular before it.

"Bridges of Madison County"? I've actually never seen that movie nor read the book. And I've seen a LOT of movies in my time on this planet I'm still waiting for Chris to e-mail me and see if he is right. Not Strange Days...although I loved that movie (and got to see it for free since I was reviewing for my college newspaper back then). You have to think beyond mainstream movies...I don't think this movie even hit a major theater and probably played only in more art house-like theaters.
