CNN link

The top male cars annoy me. I can't fit into one of those sports cars because I'm too tall. So why would I want a Porsche 911 or a Spyder to drive on city streets? Makes no sense to me.

I'm surprised the Lancer Evolution is so high on the list (or on the list at all)... It just strikes me as a squat, ugly car.

The Ford GT is a no-brainer.

The 911 would have to be in turbo version...then it might be my no.1 pick.

The Mercedes would give a good run as my top pick also....there's just something about the way that they drive that I love.

This was the most surprising statement in that article.

In terms of bang for the buck, the Evo is hard to beat.

911 Coupe and Mercedes CL are the only cars on the men's list that I really like and they are both much too expensive for cars. 6-series is too much of a family sedan. The M6 is a different story, but again, too expensive.

On the women's list, there isn't a single car you would catch me driving... Eclipse convertible is close, but not quite. So I guess I am a guy. slywink For reference, you wouldn't catch my wife in any of those cars either.

Thats a nice fucking car. Notice the use of an expletive as the adjective in this sentence to denot just how cool I think it is.

Now consider how cool I sound not being able to think of anything better to say smile

while i have no interest in most of the cars on that guy list, the Porsche 911 has long been my dream car.  i keep telling myself that i will one day own a porsche...it'll just take a few years before i get to that point.  i figure i should be able to afford one about the time i hit my mid-life crisis.  there's no way in hell i'd drive a Lancer though...i'd take a Subaru Impreza WRX over on of those slywink

Nope - because it's squat and ugly smile  If I'm gonna pay $30K plus for a car, it's gotta look like I paid $30K plus for it.

I'd like to clarify my shock for the Evo: Great car, but never thought it was that well known.

Real men still drive WRXs!!

Yeah I'm the total opposite.  Couldn't care less what it looks like, would rather I enjoy myself in it.

I drive the EVO's competetor, the WRX STi, which is marginally better looking, if that.

And about two minutes from my company's main office...though I work in Hurst.  Stopped by there today... it was rather nice.

Damn, look how much cheaper the womens list is compared to the mens list.  Honestly, I think men care way too much about cars.  You may be able to go from 0 to 60 in 3 seconds but that'll probably cost you $5 the way gas prices are these days.  I think I would rather have something that is efficient and fun to drive.  Maybe a Volkswagen of some sort.

I don't see a probably with an ugly car(case in point, I drive a GTO. slywink ) But I choose my cars like I choose my women... based on performance, not looks.

Same here. I think the EVO is an absolutely awesome little car.

It's definitely hard to believe that the most expensive car in that top 10 women's list is the Eclipse. Wow.

Also: Where's the love for the upcoming Ford Mustang Shelby GT500?

There's another car on those lists that's not available yet, so it can't be that. Do people not know about it?

I'd take the new GT500 over every other car on that list.

And: Eeeeeeewww on the Suzuki Forenza being so high up on the women's list. What an ugly unassuming low-powered junker of a car.

They're built in the DFW area by http://www.uniqueperformance.com/. For a measley $139K you can get a performance model, and $189K will buy you a Super Snake. They did the GT500 Elanor in the remake of Gone in 60 Seconds.

The show Rides filmed an episode at their shop. Very impressive.
