Mo-vember

I'm really more of a lurker, but this is kinda cool/important. Anybody up for it?

The 'Mo', slang for moustache, and November come together each year for Movember.

Each Movember we challenge men to change their appearance and the face of men's health by growing a moustache. The moustache is our ribbon, the means by which we raise awareness and funds for cancers that affect men. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, our commitment is to grow a moustache for 30 days. Funds raised benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG.

Genetics sucks.  While my Dad had a great 'stache for 30+ years, I can't grow anything down my snot runnel, so mine always looks split, not to mention the bald spot under my chin.  I always hated the Hispanic kids in Jr. High that were growing moustaches at age 13.

while i seemingly got some of my old man's epic stache genes (seriously, it was magnum PI worthy) for some reason it won't grow down to the goatee.  if i let it go all out it would connect up but further down the side like those old time western bad guys. 

i cannot grow the stache this year, but in support, i will let my goatee grow free.  someday i will have the zz top look.

Aesthetics are not the important point here. It's to support a good cause AND to humiliate the mustache-grower.
