Finally, this whole circus can be over.  I'm going to guess he'll get off (literally and figuratively) slywink.  It'll be a long verdict because of the 10 counts against him.

Anyone else?

I think they will get him on a few lesser included charges, but they don't have him on the big ones. At least I don't think they did. The case just didnt have that beyond a reasonable doubt thing.

Ok, so he got off on everything. Thats what happens when you bring a HUGE case like this with a bajillion counts to trial when you just DO NOT HAVE HIM.

If you are going to bring this type of case to trial, you have to KNOW that you have him. They didn't. At least its all done.

I called it...thank you very much.  The DA will probably be out of a job soon.  He tried to pin anything he could on Jackson and he lost.

What's Michael Jackson's favorite nursery rhyme?

Little boy blew.

(I hate this prick.  I bet someone takes him out in the next 6 months)

I told the wife if he goes to jail he would'nt come out. But I was right last year..not guilty on all counts. As he left I said there goes Jesus.

Gah I cant leave it unsaid...those people outside the courthouse cry and letting doves go are just an embarrassment to humans.

Evidence would have helped.  He basically went in there with accusations, an victim who contradicted himself (with a con artist mother to boot), and lots of anecdotes.

I dont know if MJ actually molested kids in the past, but I got the impression he was innocent in this specific instance.  The DA never came close to proving his case, obviously, and there are no real OJ moments to point out Jackson won because of legal maneuvering.

Either way, if he did it or not. He is a jackass. Bigtime. After all of the "payoffs" why `o why would you still behave like that? What a jackass!

Yeah.  Reminds me of Bill OReilly buying off his sexual harrassment suit.  Oh, except she had tapes of him talking to her.

If someone were truly innocent, I can't see them paying off the accuser, especially when a team of lawyers could win in court for either the same money or less.  Or more, but at least you arent rewarding bad behavior.

The part that makes me feel less than sympathetic for MJ is how he appeared today.  He was obviously tranq'd to the gills.  I don't know, if it's me, I'm coming in clearheaded. And when I get vindicated I'm going out on the courthouse steps and have my say. Jackson made a beeline for the cars to go home, he looked like a zombie.  That's a guy with issues.

I heard he went home and celebrated the verdict with a 12-year old bottle of scotch. Or was it a 12-year old and a bottle of scotch?

Honestly i didn't watch the trial or know any of the evidence so i cannot comment on is guilt or innocence in this particular case.  However, any sane person would have to question the motives of a grown man sleeping in the same bed as young children and having the type of relationships he has had with kids over the years.
My biggest fear with the result of this trial is IF he is a child molestor it is only a matter of time before he will do this again.  I just pray he doesn't hurt any more people than he already has.
I sure can't wait to hear all the stories about poor Michael and all he has been put through with the trial and how he does what he does because he loves children.

I disagree.  Faced with the choice of a lawsuit that could cost, if you lose, somewhere like 4 million, and say you're guaranteed to pay at least 1 million in legal fees regardless, and someone says "I'll go away if you just give me $1 million", I could see myself paying them off.  Consider that if you don't you:

1) Have to pay out a huge amount of money, win or lose
2) Have to go through an embarrassing and extraordinarily stressful public trial (particularly if you are accused of something sexual)
3) Risk losing, and not only having to pay out but also of having, while not a conviction (in a civil case), still a judgment calling you a pervert.

So for the most part I don't regard settling as being of much weight as to guilt.

I know some people justify paying that way, but personally it doesnt seem to be smart in the long term, especially once word gets out that you're a mark (as may or may not be the case with Jackson).

The case against MJ certainly seemed more convincing in the beginning than it did at the end.

Except the former built his career on his righteous indignation of the latter.  Turns out it wasnt indignation, it was jealousy.

This seems like a good time to relink Triumph the Insult Comic Dog's take on this trial.

Well, i'm no fan of MJ by any stretch.....but having been wrongfully accused of something particularly nasty myself, it is nice to know that not everyone was ready to lynch him if he is indeed not guilty.

And do any of us really know if he is or isn't?
