As much as I've grown to hate these movies - this one at least has some funny parts in the trailer.

you found some funny parts in that?

I wanna know how that crap gets made instead of any number of amazing movies that have a good compelling story, but the marketers don't think they will make any money.  Yet, someone thinks this will.

The sad thing is, that someone is probably right.

While I didn't find it to be particularly amusing, I'm sure we can all agree that kicking Britney down a well would be a good thing.

no sound here at work but I did giggle a bit.  I was almost expecting a Halo parody.

by funny I mean mildly amusing. That initial second when they started to stomp the yard and that small Britney thing at the end were funny enough to give me the slightest smile for a second. Unlike any of the scenes that were shown from the last several parody movies (Epic movie anyone?) - so at least this one *might* be tolerable.

As for how these get made - I 'm sure that these make a good amount of money for the amount that they cost and they've already got an established audience of people who are going to see them regardless - unlike a new movie with a compelling story.

Same exact problem we have with Games - where publishers push out mostly sequels or licensed properties.

If by "fine line" you mean a "measureless chasm of titanic proportion" then yes, you are correct.

I think they should have just started kicking movie execs into the Spartan Body Composter.

I dont think people read the scripts anymore, just the little write up diddy they do at the beginning.

Also I am thinking no one has accepted you need specific people in key roles to really carry a spoof movie to anything other than a meh.

Of course I am accepting one or two absolutely hilarious moments can save a movie from the dead.
