Fighting through my remaining delirium last night, I was able to check out Lost's thirs episode and it was a good backstory episode on everyone's favorite criminal, Kate. I keep thinking her crime was a Robin Hood one and she's the "criminal with the heart of gold" but wouldn't it have been cool if she was a hardened criminal that learns to live again over the show's course? Then again, we didn't find out what she did, but she seems like she's good enough to where it must not have been too bad. The twist on the cop's death was really unexpected by me, and just plain wrong. Loved it. I also liked how Locke (formally know to me as Flagg) just got the father indebted to him through the dog. I can't wait until next week when he steps up. Anyway, promising show thus far.

I agree, great episode. A little slow, but great character building. I'll be sticking around for the whole season that's for sure.

I was surprised we didn't see any drug use by the LoTR guy.

Every once in a while, a show creates a great scene just by using the background music and few if any words. The ending of Lost was a perfect example of this. The happy music is going on, people are getting along better, and then the camera focuses on Locke and the music turns evil. Just a great minute or so of TV there. This has rapidly become must-see TV. The only bad thing is that it's keeping me from watching Hawaii, which wasn't too bad a cop show.

Curse ABC or whoever for making it run LATE therefore preventing my TiVo from capturing it... but I will prevail in the end, I have set my Lost season pass to tape not one but TWO minutes past the ending time so I will never miss this again!

I'm really digging Lost. I'm glad that it came along when it did, because I was addicted to The Amazing Race, which ended about the same time Lost started. The cool thing is that I've got no clue where it's headed. The island seems really big sometimes, and really small other times.

I'm soo digging this show too, but next week is the one I want to see. Once Locke gets going, I think the show is really going to kick into high gear.

See, I have this notion that the next few episodes might be more backstory-based. While, in theory, their backstories don't matter now that they're stranded on an island, I think they'll be used for character development.
