Hoping to breathe new life into its animated Looney Tunes franchise and prop up the WB television network's slumping Kids' WB line-up, Time Warner Inc.'s Warner Bros. is planning to launch a new cartoon series this fall based on "re-imagined" versions of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tasmanian Devil, Lola Bunny, Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote.
Warner Bros. has created angular, slightly menacing-looking versions of the classic Looney Tunes characters for its new series, dubbed "Loonatics" and set in the year 2772.

And on another note - did you know that whatever stations still show the old classic Looney Toons show them edited? Apparently some of the old shows aren't PC anymore, so the 'offending' parts have been removed.

Doesn't anyone realize at WB that the reason for declining ratings might be because their cartoons are crap as of late? Seriously, cartoons just aren't the same as they have been . Lately it all has to be about violence , and while the classics have had cartoon violence in the past, these seem to try to bring it to a more realistic level. And what's with the art? That's seriously ugly.

Wow this is horrific. It's depressing to see how cartoons have changed and evolved with society. I liked those cartoon characters and I absolutely LOVED other cartoons like Darwing Duck, Tailspin, DuckTales, Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers, and more. And now they have to create a spin of those older cartoon characters and make them more "modern"? Bleh.
