according to Macrumors, iOS 4.3 is out now.

Does this mean that this update is not for the Verizon iPhone 4?

Did a little research and it seems to be true. Guess I can quit hitting the 'check for updates' button now.

Hey guys is there a way to transfer the iOS 4.3 download from one computer to another so that I don't have to download it on 2 machines at home?  (one for me and one for wife).

Need to find the ipsw, I think it is in user\Your User\AppData\(either roaming or local)\Apple Computer\Itunes

....somewhere around there.

I have to say that being trapped in the Walled Garden ain't all that bad. Damn thing works every time I do something with it. While I certainly miss some Android stuff, I'm getting used to the iPhone really quickly.

I now have an "Apple" folder for my browser bookmarks. I find myself wondering how much the price on an iPad 1 will fall now that the 2 is out. And I'm wondering if WOW will run on a Mac.

Life in the Garden is peaceful.

Oh, and the battery life on the iPhone 4 is awesome (compared to the Droid X).

WoW runs pretty well on OSX and gives you the added bonus of being able to control iTunes from within the game.  Just sayin .

The fight between the Pogues began this past Monday, when Jennifer Pogue visited the family's Westport, Connecticut home on a night that Pogue claims was his for visitation rights. The Pogues, parents of three, are currently going through divorce proceedings. As a result, they've established a custody arrangement for their children and currently live in separate locations. Jennifer Pogue was allegedly returning from vacation and looking to pick up her three children at the house.

But it's iOS 5, not the next iPhone, that I'm watching to decide whether I will switch to another phone this summer when my contract is up.

Since this is the iPhone thread, I was tracking "something interesting" as the new device, which I am waiting for.  If you're talking about WWDC in general, I'm sure that there will be "something cool" announced.  But I have no plans to purchase a Mac or iPad, and am not really interested in the latest iOS update to make my iPhone 3G grind its gears any more than it does at present. 

The only reason I keep updating the base software is I'm sure that my apps will likely stop working after I update those if I don't.

Does anyone have a supplemental battery they would recommend for an iPhone?  The battery on mine just seems to be getting worse and worse, and is now barely making it through the day on a full charge.   Not a good thing when you need phone access 24/7.    There's a ton of batteries available that you can simply plug into the power port, but I'm not sure which one is any good.  TIA.

I'm partial to the ones from Monoprice, what with them being identical to the ones at places like Best Buy at 1/5 the price.

I went the cable route.  I managed to pick up a number of cables and spares from meritline.com for $5 and under.  I have one at work, one at home, and I take one with me if I'm going to be out for a while so I can steal someone's USB port.  I also overpaid for a car adapter from Best Buy.

I got this bad boy and LOVE it.  It has a huge capacity and can charge a # of different devices.  It also holds it's own charge for a long, long time so you don't have to really worry about plugging it in a ton.  It might be a bit overkill (I use it a lot for an iPad), but it's great.

Macrumors is reporting that Apple's fall media event will take place on September 7th.  also, rumors of an iCloud based iPhone are swirling.

Although I love my iPod Touch 4th Gen, I almost find it too thin. I've dropped it (just on my desk) sometimes simply because there isn't enough to grasp firmly. So I'd almost caution Apple, "Hey, make the iPhones thinner but keep it thick enough they're comfortable to securely grasp."

I think what Futurists web sites sometimes don't consider when doing drawings is "hey, do they actually have the technology to fit in something this thin or are we just being wishful?" So they'll posit things like a business-card thickness tablet for example.

I've wanted to get an iPhone 4 or an iPad 2 or both or something (and I've looked at competitors to both), but I too would like to wait and see what September-October brings first. Probably not what Apple wants -- they want my money NOW, right? -- but I'm fine staying put and seeing what the Fall brings (or doesn't).

The rumor sites seem to anticipate nothing for the Touch except possibly a white version (whoopee). If they even found a way to make the 4th gen Touch's lousy still camera mediocre (say, 1.3 or 2 megapixel instead of something like .7 MP) or add auto-focus to it, I'd be crazy enough to upgrade to that. Doesn't seem to be in the cards though.

Hey gang, ATT is removing their $10/1000 text plan on Aug 21 (3 days!!), so if you were going to downsize your unlimited plan when iOS 5 and iMessage comes out this Fall, you better do it now or you won't have a chance to.

Sometime since the announcement of iCloud at WWDC, that's one of the new features that you could use now...works with apps and tv shows too.
