LUXOR, Egypt (AP)  -- The linen wrapped mummy of King Tut was put on public display for the first time on Sunday -- 85 years after the 3,000-year-old boy pharaoh's golden enshrined tomb and mummy were discovered in Luxor's famed Valley of the Kings.

I seem to recall most of the folks involved in its discovery dying grisly deaths. Or they got shot by Brendan Fraser... 

This is the latest sign of the Apocalypse (along with the launch condition of Hellgate: London  ). If we all are drowned in oceans of sand [curse and all], I just want to say, I wish I had joined these forums sooner. 

Seriously, look in the photos with that CNN piece of the guy there dressed like Indiana Jones, including a brown fedora (!) [click the little button under the photo to go to #2 that has "Indy"). Too funny, huh?

  I had a friend who was an archaeologist and he wore a fedora too.  of course he was no where near as cool as Indy....

That would be Dr. Hawass, the Egyptian Antiquities Director. He likes to think of himself as an archaeologist but is kind of a laughingstock from what I hear.
