i just read an article last week about how carson still sends jokes to letterman and letterman gets a kick out of using them on his program. i bet both letterman and leno will have some sort of tribute monday night (if they are not reruns).

rest well mr carson.

it's eery the timing of his death came so soon after his name coming up again in the press.  i also heard about his jokes and letterman, and the radio station guys actually mentioned it how they thought we might lose him this year.  i don't think they expected it just days after, though.

good night, johnny.

It's weird.  I didn't even know he was sick.  That guy really kept his privacy.

He had some of the best reaction shots to his guest's antics I've ever seen a host have.  I always felt like he was paying attention to his guests, not just what he was going to do/say next, that made things more enjoyable to me.

When I got out of the service in 75 I went to work in Southern California repairing medical equipment. I actually got to see him as he waited for me to fix the treadmill at the hospital he was taking some tests at.All my witt left me and all I could say it hi and smile.
My one chance to show how witty I was and I blew it!  :?
