The new blood post is depressing as hell, and my motorcycle won't start, but I'm trying to put on a happy face and enjoy the day. Cranked through all of the ME3 endings last night, played some Civ V, had my ass whipped in Magic: The Gathering, started Dawnguard on Skyrim, and am taking the wife out for a movie. I'm turning 36 today, and damn if I don't still feel like a kid sometimes.  |

yeah, that post is a bit of a downer, but look on the bright side. everyone who is here now is practically on a first name basis with most everyone else and especially you. it's more a tight knit group than a big blog of unknowns. put simply, I lurk a bunch of other sites. I post on this one.

The day turned out pretty great. I got a nice Mass Effect 2 Normandy 2 ship from Entertainment Earth, got a nice summer jacket for riding (with a cooling system in it - wife did some serious research on that!), and a new battery for the bike. We went out to see Prometheus as the wife didn't get a chance to see it yet. She made me an awesome steak/crab legs dinner. We'll probably sneak out and see Spider-Man today if that's remotely possible - all in all a quiet day. As for being a kid - I intend to be that 80-something old guy you see on the plane playing some handheld or using whatever is the latest tech at that time. I don't see me suddenly NOT wanting to game anywhere in my future... Thanks to all of you for the well-wishing. |
