Is there realistically something I can do about this situation? (poss. ripoff)

I bought some software from someone online--no, not from this board.
I sent them a money order for $375. Since then, I've never received the software, but I know the MO was received and cashed (I sent it Priority Mail with delivery confirmation--it shows as delivered), and I checked that the MO was cashed.
The person I sent the money too says they sent the software out. When I asked them for proof (tracking number, etc.) their response was "well, I didn't get that stuff, but I know I sent it out."
Realistically, is there anything I can do about this--is it worth my time to report it to the FBI or anything like that, or am I basically screwed?
P.S.--Yes, I know I was stupid to not get feedback from a sellers forum or something before sending an unknown person money.

Maybe you can report it as mail fraud to the post office.
Lesson for next time though, never deal with money orders or checks as you have very limited recourse to getting your money back.

Oh, I know I can report it as mail fraud--but will they actually DO anything?
I don't want to add wasted time to the aggravation involved here
