My first gen iPad can do Wireless N 5 GHZ.

Just picked mine up. Not as bright as I thought it would be, even after turning the brightness all the way up. iPhone beats it by far, but the retina display is great.

A couple years ago some friends of mine got married down there in Pismo and we were driving around those neighborhoods looking for good spots to take pics of the beach/ocean.  Some really nice views down those streets of beautiful, blue Pacific!

One day soon I'm going to borrow GoPro Hero camera and film my usual ride into work.  I feel I am a bit jaded after so many years but the drive is very scenic and along a private access road so not many people have seen it.

It shouldn't be, unless it's a game.  Only the GPU is enhanced, not the CPU.

Also my impressions are that the screen is amazing and if you are looking at something in HD it looks awesome.  If you look at something that's not HD it really looks like crap.

Got it, finally.  Screen is purty.  App store must be getting hammered...having a really hard time buying or DLing apps.  Bought Chaos Rings 2, but it's not showing up in my "purchased" list and I can't get the icon to show up to launch.

For some reason Hero Academy looks absolutely amazing on the iPad 3 in 2X mode.  I mean it seriously looks like a native app, whereas on the iPad 2 it is very blocky and pixelated.  I thought the higher res would make things look more pixelated, but maybe I'm just confused.

Same thing for my iPhone only apps running on the iPad3.  The story I heard was that the original iPad took the low-resolution version of these apps and doubled their pixel size, whereas the new iPad take the high-resolution version of these apps and doubles their pixels.  I have no idea why the original iPad didn't jsut take the high-res version of these apps and not double their size, but presumably it didn't.  Regardless the iPhone apps I tried look much, much better in the new iPad.

I love the new ipad. It's just stunning. Someone described it as liquid paper and that's pretty damn close.

Wow. Look how clear the text looks on the new Ipad. That's impressive right there. I expect to be doing a lot of reading on mine when I get it.

I haven't gotten my face up close to my iPad, but I notice a huge difference in the screen when I go from working on it to the iPad 2 we have in the office for the web team.

You don't even need to hold it up close.  I was messing around with my new iPad and glanced over at the original iPad's screen and the original just looked blurry in comparison.  I get the same effect when I play on my PS3 or XBox 360 and then go to the Wii.
