Good friend of mine ended up in a successful marriage with a lovely lady off of an internet dating site about 8 years ago. Hmmmm. Now with kids...is that still successful?  |

My mom met her current husband that way. She made up some phony story about how they met to avoid the (assumed) stigma of online dating, and I didn't find out the truth until months after they started dating.
What's ironic is that of all my mom's suitors over the years, this guy is far and beyond my favorite of the bunch. In fact, my mom said if she'd known it would turn out like this, she would have trusted the software years ago rather than depend on her personal (bad) decisions.

The funny thing is we were both gigging musicians and although we lived 90 miles apart, we each performed in the other's town quite frequently. It's surprising that it took the magical powers of the interweb to bring us together.

I read that as "we were both giggling musicians" and thought that must've been a pretty easy match for the website to make. |

My wife and I met through eharmony; turns out we lived in adjacent apartment complexes for several years, but like tiktokman, it took the magic powers of the interweb to bring us together. And several of her friends met their husbands through other online dating services as well.
