I am right handed and my left hand thumb ends up on top. Switching it so that my right thumb is on top feels weird.

We are witnessing Moliere's slow descent into insanity.

Left on top of right.

Same here. Never thought about it before, nor will I afterwards.

I have a feeling Moliere also just watched GI Joe: Retaliation, where they use this as a way to prove the president has been replaced.  Tongue

Simple 'magic trick' that capitalizes on this:

Extend your arms forward, then rotate them so your thumbs point downward.

Cross your arms and interlock your fingers.

Keeping your fingers interlocked, rotate your foreaarms down, toward your stomach, then through the space between your arms so your hands are near your face

Keeping all other fingers interlocked, extend just your two index fingers so their backs (the nails) lay against each of your nostrils.

Now for the trick!  Keep your index fingers touching your nose, release the rest of your, then without letting your index fingers off of your nose and straighten out your arms so that your hands are pointing at your nose!

What? It didn't work for you?

Spoiler for Hiden:
do everything else the same but interlock your fingers with the other thumb on top. When you do this trick in front of others, don't reveal the 'magic' that makes it possible. You just keep on demonstrating it simply and successfully and everyone in your audience fails over and over.

What? It worked for you on the first try?

Spoiler for Hiden:
You are weird, and thus immune to this very specific brand of dark magic.

To the left. If I let it hang to the right, it feels like the world is off.
