Never whistle while you're pissing

Monday my son got violently ill with a stomach virus/flu- probably the sickest I've ever seen him.  He was like a water hose turned on all the way at both ends, sometimes at the same time.  Eventually he got feverish and just sat there when he wasn't exploding from either orifice.  He was relatively ok about a day and a half later.  I got nervous.

Last night, my wife was taken down by this vicious little plague.  Same story, but as is usual with my wife, she got it even worse.  She has been bedridden all day.  I hope to god she's better in the morning because...

...I'm starting to feel a bit 'off'.  Body is getting that achey feeling, a general sense of unease has settled in.  It's like waiting for a fucking hurricane to hit.  I have seen what this evil sickness has done to my wife and my son and I feel doomed.  Those of you with families know how illness can just take down everyone over the course of a week or two.  I also fear for my 3 yr old daughter, and the possibility that my wife and I could be taken down at the same time.  I am generally the last one to catch anything, if I catch it at all, but those times that I do, I go down.  HARD.

It's been a very unpleasant week.  I pray it doesn't get worse. :icon_eek:

Sounds like food poisoning to me.  I had this about a year and a half ago and I think I would have rather been dead.  It is seriously unbearable.  Cant even sit up to play games!  At least it only lasts a little more than a day.  Good luck man!  Drink a lot of gatorade!

Being sick is never fun.  frown  Especially when the whole family gets sick!  That particular type of sick pretty much sucks too.  I hope you guys get to feeling better soon!

Well, so far so good.  I went to bed with a fever last night and thought I was going DOWN.  Ended up tossing and turning all night, sweating my ass off.  I think I sweat it off.  I don't feel 100% today, but I don't feel like I'm coming down with anything either.

Oh, and when it was just my son, we thought it might be food poisoning, but his school said something like that was going around and then when Aimi got it a few days later it seemed to confirm it was a bug.

Anyway, here's to hoping I dodged that bullet.

Same thing happened to me last night but I don't think I had a fever.  Of course I was exposed to someone with strep throat last week, but if symptoms haven't kicked in by now I think I'm safe from that.

Hope you feel better!
