That trailer does absolutely nothing for me. But I will take a moment to recommend Tarsem's (the director this) film "The Fall." Genuinely great drama with tons of visual flair as a 1920s movie stuntman makes up a story for a little girl who is sick in the hospital with him.

It does have a style very similiar to 300/Clash of the Titans, but it was a pretty cool... I guess if you like 300, you'd probably like this....
I did miss some bits and pieces, but may watch it again this week... and will end up taking the wife when it finally has a regular release..

As I'm taking a course in mythology to fulfill an arts requirement for pharmacy school, I'd be interested in seeing Immortals if the filmmakers made an honest attempt to follow Greek mythology somewhat accurately, but I assume that isn't very likely. Too bad, as sometimes stories don't really need much Hollywoodization to be interesting or compelling.

so, did anyone actually see this? I saw this tonight and thought it was pretty fun. I've seen Tarsem's previous efforts and I enjoyed this one far more than both The Cell and The Fall combined; of course it's more action filled than those two so comparisons are hard to do.

Not the worst film I've seen, low end of mediocre for me. I did enjoy the use of 3D though. PRobably would have enjoyed it less if I had paid to see it at a theater instread of a rental.

Get the hankies. p.s. your GF will probably love it, but watch it alone first to avoid the embarrassment of what's to come. I'm also amazed that Hollywood hasn't made Lee Pace a huge star. The guy's a damn fine actor with a leading man's looks, the ability to do drama and a full grasp of comic timing. |

Haven't seen this and didn't realize it was the same director as The Fall, which is one of my all-time favorite movies. Also, absolutely one of the best child-actor performances ever given.
