I know this is morbid, but whenever I read news articles bout executions or impending executions, they'll usually disclose (if the prisoner gives permission - not all do) what their requested last meal was. Here in Va. they're about to execute a 41-year old woman: http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/09/23/virginia.woman.execution/index.html?hpt=C1After meeting with attorneys, Lewis was expected to have a last meal of fried chicken (two breasts), sweet peas with butter, German cake (first choice), apple pie (second choice) and Dr Pepper, officials said. Which I suddenly found fascinating. Heck, maybe I should go write a book about death row prisoners' requested last meals. Since I'm too lazy to do that right now, I thought maybe more fun would be to ask people here: "If you were about to be executed, what would you request for your last meal?"It probably differs by state, but apparently in Virginia you can request: -Main dish -Side dish -Two desserts -Beverage (NO alcoholic beverages though, pretty sure about that) *I assume you can't have like a 5-foot wide pizza, or a 3,000 oz Coke, so don't get carried away. **Yes, I know it's odd that death row prisoners have a better last meal than we can get on a U.S. airliner. I'm still working on mine, though I think it might involve Tacos, chocolate chip cookies and Diet Pepsi...

While not about solely executed people there is a book in that vein.

Just call me Captain Buzzkill! You could still do one about prison inmates specifically. Heck, maybe you could partner with that author and use it to break into the authoring game.

A case of Yuengling and a Pat's cheesesteak. I'd be satiated, hammered, and ready to roll. It's not about quality of beer, but familiarity and memories. I'd enjoy the contentment associated with a case of my favorite familiar beer and my preferred cheesesteak. Better make that two cheesesteaks as I'd have no reason to worry about over indulgence.

Breaking the rules, Pete. No alcohol. So in punishment, you're getting a case of O'Doul's.

These don't go together (and are from seperate places) but...
Popcorn Shrimp with butter (Red Lobster) Mac & Cheese (Noodles & Company) Mango and Sticky Rice (any good Thai place)/Sopapillas with honey (any good mexican place) Root Beer float (A&W store)
________________
Other options depending on my mood... Good steak, Tempura Udon for meal McDonalds or Chickfila fries. Or maybe a salad from a Japanese restaurant. Death By Chocolate at the Trellis in Williamsburg Coke

This reminds me of the best line from the Raising Hope pilot, where the mom on death row requests a McRib Sandwich and a Shamrock Shake as her last meal, which the jailer admiringly states has delayed her execution by months, because the two "are very rarely sold at the same time."

Bzzt. Prisoners can't have glass. It would probably be a mexican dish of some sort. My wife's oatmeal cookies and rice krispy treats. Mountain Dew for the Meal (throwback kind only) and a glass of 2% milk for dessert (who cares about the fat!)

Leno has a segment called Last Meal or Happy Meal. Each time he has an extravagant sounding meal, and it's surprising what some of the Last Meals end up being.

Pad Thai from my favorite place in lewiston, ID. Kobe Beef Rib Steak done on the grill with mushrooms/onions/hint of blue cheese Apple pie from my wifes Grandmother...she is dead so that one will take em a while. A bowl of Fresh peaches and Huckleberries A tumbler of Balvenie Scotch and a glass of crab apple wine.
None of these really go together that well...but they are incredible food.

Hmmm. Tough choice, but I'd probably go with
Filet Mignon Mashed potatoes Grilled asparagus
I never eat dessert but would probably make an exception in this case and ask for Death By Chocolate.
If I can't have beer or wine I'll wash it down with fresh-brewed iced tea.
