I'll supply the first 4 to kick things off (with an extra credit bonus).  Here is how it works:

I'll toss out these games.  You succesfully ID all of them, then you post a game.  If nobody answers in an hour, post a hint.  Repeat until people figure it out.  This is meant to be fun, so try to pick something reasonable.  smile   It can be for ANY platform, including arcade, so go nuts!

Here we go....

And EXTRA CREDIT, just for fun.

Well, the third one down is Dig Dug 2, and the extra credit is Adventure.  Dunno the rest.

What classics.

1) Revenge of Shinobi
2) Magic Sword
3) Dig Dug 2
4) Black Tiger
5) Adventure

And since I don't know if my source site allows linked images, I'll just upload it.

Wait, isn't that first one a Ninja Gaiden game?

No it's definately Shinobi, the Magic Sword doesn't look like anything I've seen the in the game. I don't even recall a guy using an axe in that title. The game looks more like Legendary Axe II...Yeah I am right it is most definately NOT magix sword:

http://www.vgmuseum.com/images/snes01/01/magicsword2.jpg

Look at the UI differences. It's not Legendary Axe II either... still searching..

Just went searching around - it's definitely Rastan.

Damned lizard creature (which you can get in Magic Sword) threw me off.

Now I'm gonna have to win one to make my post legit.  icon_biggrin

Karnov is definitely the bonus. 3 is one of the Actraiser games, and 4 is one of the Ys titles. 1 looks to be a generic Neo Geo shooter, and 2...I don't know.

Okay,

1: Dead Moon TG-16 : lots of fun, look it up
2: Ninja Spirit TG-16: Made Early Ninja Gaidens its bitch in the gameplay department
3: Actraiser 2 SNES
4: Y3 Wanderers from Ys
Bonus: Karnov NES

....

I knew the first one was probably a little too hard, but I figured someone else would've remembered Ninja Spirit.

this one should be much easier as it was fairly widespread of a title being on consoles and in arcades

That looks like Skate or Die to me, but it looks worse than I remember it. Must not be the NES version or something.

And I'll play it safe in posting a new image until I know for sure I'm right.  icon_biggrin

And yeah, it's verified - I found the exact screenshot he used to post.  icon_biggrin

Deus Ex for the PC.

And here's a classic arcade title. Anybody know what it is? Hint - you're fighting the game's title right now.

The only game I remember from back when we had a TI-99/4A was some sort of magic hat math "game".  Of course, I was only born a couple years before that was released so I couldn't have been very old when we got it.  I also remember my brother messing with the voice synthesizer add-on thingie.
