Honestly, people aren't seeing a penis in the iPod ad? I know freud can be taken a bit far, but for God's sake they colored it pink, and placed the headphones just so, AND placed the end of the iPod just below the woman's face. (who, incidentally, has no other evident reason to be in the ad at all).

old ad trick - people a lot smarter than me figured out that there is a certain "unease" associated with sexual references - the idea is to spark this unease or tension with subliminal sexual imagin, and associate it with a product - the end result bein that acquirin that product feels similar to a release of sexual tension in some dark corner of our minds - stimulate and fulfill is the basic gist
