You know, tying my shoes actually became a significant milestone for me this week. Last weekend I managed to seriously injure my knee while skiing, which leaves me with a very limited (and painful) degree of motion in it. Sometime during the middle of the week I was able to bend down enough to tie my own shoes, which I needed help to do up until then. Victory!

Don't underestimate the joy of tying one's shoes! Last year at this time I had split the tendon in my thumb in two and I had to tie my shoes with my fingertips for several months after. That shit ain't easy.
