An office with a window? Must be nice. I can see the windows if I stand up to look over the cubicle wall. I was in Denver 3 weeks ago and experienced picture #1. My company held a meeting at The Curtis. What a weird hotel that is. I was on the Hepcat floor aka Big Hair. Every floor has a decorating theme around pop culture. The elevator makes a quote from different characters like Marge Simpson when you're getting out. The wake up calls come from celebrities like Mr. T saying "Wake up fool!"

I relocated a bit further south near the end of last year, and it was snowing where I was at (right across the river from Portland, OR) in the first couple days of April, but it was nothing like that!

In Chicago, we go through all four seasons in one day.
The last few days have actually been beautiful though, makes up for the last 4 months.

I spent the last two weeks in Dallas. I spent the past weekend in Denver, including a trip to the Rocky Mountain National Park during a snowstorm. I am currently in San Francisco. My cell phone is wondering WTF is going on with the time changes.
The weather here is very nice, currently, however.

O RLY? Where in Colorado? The OO CO crew gets together fairly often-ish, if you're ever interested. I live in Castle Rock. I am/was DiscoJason and used to visit OO quite frequently, but time became an issue and so I had to cut a message board out. It was a tough choice, but since I mostly was interested in consoles, I went with Gaming Trend. I'd love to get together with you guys, though.

Clearly you have never been in downtown Houston in the middle of August. I so win... The average Temp for Houston in August is 83. Darwin's average temperature is 83 or above for 7 months of the year. Two of the other 5 months have an average temp of 82. Try again

Average for the entire year. I was talking about the Summer months. Try 100 degrees with 100% humidity, homey...It's not even so much about the heat as it is with the humidity. That shit'll kill ya... I win again Reading comprehension isn't your strong point eh? You talked about August in Houston. So I gave you the numbers for August in Houston.. and was pointing out that it is worse in Darwin at least 7 months of the year. But, to make this really easy for you... let's just compare the entire year shall we? First, the average temperatures by month. Note the very first number is the average temperature for the entire year, followed by January, February etc... Houston: °F 69 51 55 62 69 75 81 84 83 79 70 61 54 Darwin: °F 82 83 83 83 83 81 78 77 79 82 84 85 84 A cursory glance reveals, you lose. But, let's also look at the average highs by month.... Houston: °F 79 61 66 73 79 85 91 94 93 89 82 72 65 Darwin: °F 89 89 88 89 91 89 87 87 88 90 91 92 91 Oops. You lost again. That's ok. Maybe that vaunted humidity you were talking about. Monthly rainfall numbers, again with the average per year in the first column: Houston: in. 47.9 3.9 2.9 3.5 3.6 5.6 5.1 3.4 3.7 4.3 4.7 3.7 3.6 Darwin: in. 65.2 16 13.7 12.3 3.9 0.8 0.1 --- 0.3 0.7 2.8 5.6 9 So, while your *winter* is more humid than ours, our summer features up to triple the average rainfall per month. Who wins now, homey?

Rainfall and humidity don't really necessarily have much to do with each other, other than you can say it is really humid while it is raining. However, you can be very humid and not have rainfaill. I still think you win, though.

I know. I couldn't find humidity information anywhere. But, to put it in perspective, Darwin is tropical. We have a wet season and a dry season. The wet season lasts 9 months of the year. The humidity is 90%+ every day. It is above 85 degrees 338 days of the year on average. It was never really a fair contest
