I'm sick of hearing Jeff Probst say this everytime somebody loses on Survivor. Actually, I think it's rather rude. People have just lost a challenge and they are feeling quite low. What does Jeff do? "I got nothing for ya - head back to camp". Rude.
Jeff needs to come up with some new lines and be a little more polite.

Gordon Ramsay is my hero. I find myself saying "yeah?" at the end of every instructional sentence to make sure whomever I'm speaking to has heard and understands what I just said. I also now tend to slap the back of one hand into the palm of the other for emphasis when I speak. Jill (my gf) told me that I do this and I didn't believe her until she riled me up on something until I was doing it. Oh, and Probst...I like the guy, he does a good job hosting. The "I got nothing for ya" line is a direct jab at the losers. I'm sure he gets pushed by producers to say it in order to evoke an emotional response in the contestants as well as us, the audience. |

I think the king of the reality show dickhead lines was on Project Runway. When someone got kicked off, after they did the teary goodbyes with the other contestants, the host guy would come in, and say he was sorry, then look them in the eyes and say "Now go clean up your area." I always thought of him as saying "Sorry you got kicked off. Go pack up your shit and get the hell out."

I always liked Hell's Kitchen but Kitchen Nightmares is so much funner to watch. The only thing I hate though is when he has the camera film him take change out his normal shirt while he puts on his chefs shirt. I mean, honestly, do we really need to him bare-chested??? |
