So I applied for an "Internet Engineer" position at the ISP where I work and got the good news that I got the promotion today! I start my new duties on October 6th. I'm nervous but excited as this is essentially the top of the technical food chain here. I'm hoping to have one other big announcement around the 6th or shortly thereafter, so don't think the good news is all done and over with. Add in Kato's welcome home party at Pete's place on the 11th and it is starting to looking like a great Q4!
Just thought I'd share my good fortune. It's all doom and gloom with the economic nonsense - it's nice to see a ray of sunshine in all that.
