Apparently it's biscuit although I've been spelling it for 3 1/2 decades without the second "i".  Who knew?

Well apparently my 9 year-old knew as he pwn3d his old man last night.

I hate that.

Any words you found out you were spelling wrong your whole life?

I will probably spell it wrong here...

but I always spell tommarow / tomarrow / tomorrow  incorrectly.

Jesus!  See - I still don't know how it's spelled.

And yep, I'm 34.  So, like you, there is no excuse.

This is probably the one that stumps me the most.  Followed closely by "received."  The spellchecker taunts me every time I send and e-mail.

One thing that pisses me off is "forty."  Why in the HELL is it not spelled "fourty"?  I demand answers damnit!

On that same note: why isn't "Three", "Threety"?

Not to mention twoty.

I always want to type sattelite, but at least now I can tell it's wrong as soon as I do.  It's satellite.

Hierarchy.  I have to be very deliberate with this one.  And it sucks, because I use it in every damn document I create.

I've always had the ability to spell words correctly, and I thoroughly enjoy pointing out to others how bad they are at spelling.

I always shake my head when someone uses the word "voila" but spells it as "walla".

And something that longtime Gone Golders will appreciate: kriminal sopina!

And right after I posted this, I sent out a doc to my management team with "hierarchy" misspelled in it.  Despite spellcheck.

Yeah, PaulBot, i was the same, read a lot, so always could spell... (i conveniently ignored your next sentence admitting that you weren't  totally serious) ...until a certain age.  now i do "horrifying" things like their/ there and your/ you're switches without even noticing it until i see the print copy, the email, or the post.  it's hubris, i tell you!  and rather humbling.

For others, I agree that walla is sort of annoying, but my number one annoyance is rogue.  Hooked on Phonics is teh evil, I tells ya...
