How to make IE useful?

On my tablet, I use IE while in pen mode, because the TIP (Tablet Input Panel) that comes up when I tap in the address bar contains URL specific buttons. Firefox isn't calling up this version of the TIP, just the standard. In fact, it's not uncommon when using Firefox to not have the TIP button appear at all when I tap in the address bar, which is annoying. That is the ONLY reason I'm not using Firefox on the tablet.
So, seeing how I'm using IE (SP2 patched), what are some good mods for IE that will give me tabs and some of the other goodness of Firefox?

Bwahahahahahahahaha!
sorry, but putting 'IE' and 'useful' in the same sentence was just too funny....
There may be some kind of IE based browser out there, think I've heard of one, that has tabs, but there is no such thing as an extension or modification of IE beyond toolbars such as the google or alexa ones.

I prefer
SlimBrowser
... since I don't like mouse-gestures, it's perfect.

Uh, yeah... I guess you didn't read the description of my situation, then.
I did download myIE2, which is now called Maxthon. It's interface is more similar to Firefox. Thanks for the suggestion! I may take a look at SlimBrowser later.

I second Ron's reccomendation of MyIE2. If I were forced to use IE then I would definately be using that. I used it at work and didn't have any problems with it. It has no problem with most web pages since it uses the IE engine and it is well supported by the developers and community with tons of nice (and useful) plugins. You can use all the IE addons like the Google Toolbar with it as well. Works very nice.
I would still prefer using FireFox or Opera (which I use) because the customization is unlimited, but for those that HAVE to use IE, MyIE2 is as good as I have found. Note that I haven't tried SlimBrowser, but I haven't found a need to.

Thankfully, somebody just developed an extension for Firefox that enables the TIP. Whew!
