Hey all, with our site relaunch looking more and more like a reality (believe it!), I've decided to revise our media kit which we use make ourselves more attractive to developers and publishers (and advertisers!).  To that effect I have created a survey.  It is totally anonymous, we don't ask for any specific identity information, just a few questions about you and your gaming habits.

Here is the link

Thank you in advance!

You listed three different types of role-playing games, and didn't even list strategy games?

In the "rate the following items in terms of importance" I gather we're supposed to rate them in order of importance, but it's a bit ambiguous.  I could see people thinking it's a 1-10 scale with 1 being the most important, or rating multiple things #1.

Hmmm... don't think you have enough choices for #4 where you describe your work or student status...

You need more answers, at least an "Other" - because none of them fit me, and possibly other folk here. I had to choose Rather Not Tell, although I wouldn't have minded telling - but the other choices were even farther off.  Btw, I'm Disabled, though Retired/ Disabled is often the phrase used to describe me, due to my (former) profession.

Okay, on to the rest of the survey!   icon_razz

Just took it.  The one about rating what influences your buying decision needs more explanation.  I assumed it was rating from 1 to N where N is the number of choices, but the instructions are very vague.

Survey did not work for me.  Using Firefox on macbook.  When I click next on the section that ends with you ranking what influences your purchasing decisions it would reset to the first page of the survey, with my answers pre-populated.

Curious.  I'm on Mac as well and didn't notice any issues.  Have you tried Safari?  Which version of FF?  I'd be willing to bet 3 isn't supported yet...

Thanks for all of the responses so far all!

I'm surprised you split 1st and 3rd person shooters.  I see Gears of War as being in the exact same genre as Call of Duty 4, but I suppose it's possible some people can't stand one perspective or the other.  After music games and strategy games I only had one vote left so I went with 1st person shooters, but an option for "multiplayer shooters" would've been a better match.

Survey doesn’t seem to work properly on Opera.  Once you get to the last page it just takes you back to the first…That or I just submitted it twice.

I completed it but I found the non-breakdown of strategy games an odd choice.  I really like turn-based, but don't much care for RTS strategy games.  A recent topic here or on another board indicated that I'm not alone in that view.

Um, I live in Australia so it makes it hard to pick a USA state for where you live so I picked Maine as I want to visit there if I come across, should of been a International choice.

Apologies to all- we've never used the 'announcement' feature before.  I thought it would send PMs but I guess it sent an email.  It's not likely a feature we will abuse or likely even use again, but I think one little email isn't going to hurt anybody....
