My Fair Lady and I fly to Miami this afternoon for an evening in the city then hop on a cruise ship tomorrow and head for the eastern Caribbean. Ports of call include San Juan, Nassau, and St. Thomas. Never been on a cruise myself nor have I ever been that far east (yes, I'm sheltered) so all around this will be a host of new experiences. The best?

24hr pizza and ice cream bars. They had me at hello.

So try not to burn down the house while I'm gone next week, and have fun gang. Cheers.

My wife and I went on one last year for our 25th (my surprise, since I swore I'd rather die than go on one...she almost fainted  icon_biggrin) and had an absolute blast although I did almost drown trying to snorkle for the first, and last, time.  icon_lol

We have a 7 day planned for next April along with about 12 other people; Jamaica, Caymans and Cozumel. We can't wait.

Have fun!  The wife and I are going on a cruise in January, hitting the same ports mostly.  I've never been on one myself, but we're looking forward to it.

My wife and I went on an Alaskan cruise for our honeymoon and it was fantastic.  The Inland Passage cruise is great because even at sea the views are really spectacular.

My honeymoon cruise was the best vacation I ever had. I'd love to take another cruise someday. Heck, I don't even care about the destination. Just enjoying the whole cruise experience would make it worthwhile.

Isn't it hurricane season down there right now?

On the western side, yes. We're going to the eastern side. Also the hurricanes in the area where we're going are all tracking to go on a northeast vector away from us. So we're good. nod

Due to an unfortunate incident with a shot of Bacardi 151, I'm pretty sure that won't be a problem for wbs.

That would be a pair of 151 shots bookending a buttload of other assorted alcohols in a short period of time, brother. :slywink:

As for the trip, My Fair Lady and I have returned thus you can expect my usual pithy to return to the forums forthwith. I know it was missed.

Over the next week, I'll be writing up our daily excursions on my blog so stay tuned for the updates. Some of them are very, very fun. Especially meeting the guy who designed and built Yoda and the phrase "I'm keeping the lines even." Stay tuned.
