But it’s worth it!  A week after college graduation and I’ve got a job!  A really nice one too, starting pay is almost double what anyone else in my family makes; my family is definitely on the lower income spectrum but I’m still in shock.

I’m still kind of waiting for something terrible to happen; my luck usually isn’t this good but until it does I’m pretty happy. I might not even have to live in a cardboard box!  Woohoo!   icon_smile

Congrats.  I wouldn't move out of the cardboard box yet, though.  Maybe add onto it.

I was actually thinking of standing a refrigerator box upright and adding a loft…

It does suck. I much prefer getting up at about 2pm and not having to leave for work until about 6.

Night shift rules.

Congrats on the quick job find though. I know some friends that graduated with honors and still can't find anything.

Congrats Lordnine.

Getting up early isn't so bad in the week, since I work.  But the weekends are a different matter, and sadly my two-year-old daughter doesn't understand the concept of Saturday and Sunday lie-ins yet. frown

Congrats on the gig and the graduation.  As a recent grad myself, I know what it takes to accomplish either one.

Since I work from home now, I've gotten to set my own hours.  This resulted in me staying up until 3:00 am last night and then sleeping in until 10.  If all continues to go well my sincere hope is that I will never set foot in an office at 8 am on a Monday every again.   ninja  I tend to "work" from around 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm.  Those just seems to be the most productive hours for me.

Congrats on the gig!

I'm never in the office before 10, and doubt I ever will be.

I get up about a half hour before I start working, which consists of me brushing my teeth, taking a shower, then the long commute downstairs to my office.  Ah, working from home!

Welcome to the rat race. When you find the hunk of cheese, please leave some for me.
