After skimming the "OO Offline for a short time" thread, I'm am feeling appreciative of what we GT'ers have. Rock solid access to GT with nary a hiccup (I think any slight hiccups are caused by the flood of OO'ers around lunch time).

I bow to KD and whoever else has a part in making this site run like an extremely well oiled machine. Ya'll are mucho appreciated!!! headbang

My pleasure.  I've got some exciting stuff coming up for you guys that should stabilize the forums, as well as the front page.  Waiting to nail down some exact dates to announce.   ninja2

I'll go ahead and spoil his surprise. KD is actually working on a deal to sell ad space exclusively to Hillary Clinton's campaign. Complete with Hillary's picture taking up an entire 50% of the page for her ad banners. Thus increasing revenues 100 fold and enabling us to create a better site.

It should be great when it goes live.

I am giddy with anticipation. Can I get a Hillary calendar to hang up by my monitor so when I'm not on GT I can still gaze upon her?

I would take my hat off to all ya'll but I'm not wearing one and actually pretty much only wear a hat when I am doing lawn work or am making a quick run to the store and haven't showered for that day.  My unshampooed hair becoming greasy bed head is pretty noticable and impossible to comb down.  My bed head has got this Zac Braff thing going on except it's pretty awful and usually leans to one side and is dirtwater blonde.

So as a result of being generarly hatless, I can either put my hand on my heart and look solemn in a moment of silence for you or I could salute.  Except the military rejected me, so I couldn't even privately salute you.  So the hand on heart thing seems more appropriate even if it makes me feel like I am mourning you rather than appreciating you.  Maybe you can wait until this weekend.  As long as my lawnmower doesn't bring the magic rain (which it often does), I can make sure to wear a hat while mowing, so I can make sure to take it off.  I can then dedicate my day of yardwork to GT.

I did to.  I was actually really curious what the free MMORPG of Bots was... and still am.

I'm sure as my ducks get into a row and start to goose step along that I'll pony up some sort of PayPal chicken scratchings off to GT, as this coop has been the best of all possible hosts to me.  My hats off to them.

Yep, visiting the ads certainly does help as well.  It is appreciated.  I spend roughly 2 grand on GT every year with shipping / hosting / E3, so every bit helps.

I've been meaning to donate for months now, so I finally put my PayPal where my mouth is - just don't drop what you're doing to see how much it is, KD, it's a "fixed income" kinda donation, lol.

Keep up the great work, everything everyone said is true and then some!

Hold the bus.  I don't ever use a friends link for Amazon.  I'd be happy to make sure my five or six orders a year send a few pennies this way.  I know we suggested that for OO and it never game to fruition.  Is the link on the front page?  I missed it... [goes off to look]

Good to know.

Speaking of site ads has anyone here actually gotten one of those xbox 360's from the link on the main page? smile
I've clicked on it quite a few times but never really filled anything out there, hope it helps.

I wanted to add my thanks as well.  While GT has the occasional hiccup, recent experience with other boards makes it easily the gold medal winner in terms of stability and speed.  OO is down, QT3 is experiencing regular slowdowns, and Popehat isn't loading for me at the moment.

GT wins by default!
