I planned on hitting the movie tomorrow, anyone else plan on going? I always get the wierd looks because the wife and I don't have kids...

The wife and I will be going early Saturday probably. I haven't gotten any strange looks and I actually saw a lot of couples without kids at the last two movies.

Plan on taking my son to it this weekend, but the wife is not too sure that it's a good idea. This one is supposed to be a little scarier than the last and my son has nightmare issues (which confounds me- I hardly ever had actual nightmares during the course of my life, and nothing really scared me much other than a fear of heights and getting pounded on by the neighborhood bully. It's hard for me to relate. My wife and my son share the same screwy anxiety issues.). He really, really wants to see it tho

Having read the books this one is far more serious and dark than the previous 2. It really only gets darker from here with Books 4 and 5.

I'd really like to see it this weekend, but with the massive amount of wedding details we've got left to work out I don't know if we'll have time. Possibly early Sunday morning while the rest of the world is at church...

I really liked it. The kids did too. We went on opening night, and it was PACKED. I try to wait for Sunday or something, but it was one of those 'let's just do it' type of things.

I think the director did a fine job. I've not read the book yet (getting there) but it flowed well, and the story was a bit darker and edgier than the first two.
