it was 30 years ago today....
30 years,Jesus wept...if that doesn't make you feel old then i dunno what will

i was 4 years old when this was released in the cinema, and although it is the best of the star wars movies(you can argue if you wish, but you will be wrong)...it wasn't until 3 years later with Return of the Jedi that i actually first saw a star wars movie at the cinema(1983)...and not for another 14 years after that until i actually saw The Empire Strikes Back on the big screen in 1997...although that was the special edition
i always, with friends grew up thinking that Obi Wan Kenobi(Ben)was Luke's Uncle....not sure where the rumour came from
...and in a way being his real fathers 'best friend'..he was like a fake uncle that so many people grow up with
somehow, again not sure everyone knew that Lukes Father and Obi Wan had a lightsabre fight in the past, but not for another 25 years or so would we see it
it was the Empire Strikes Back that first started planting the seeds of what happened
in 1977 when Star wars was first released,i think it was not even labeled as episode 4 until after it was a success(not sure about that TBH,i think that's true)...it was Empire with its Episode 5 that people started to reflect on the whole story
oh,and get this...an unknown thing for Hollywood films.....the bad guys win at the end of this one!!
Solo kidnapped
Luke having to learn to masterbate with his left hand
and Leia feeling very confused, having kissed Han before the big worm came out(er...that's not a sex joke BTW)
so,what are your memories of Empire,is it your favourite SW film?(the answer is yes BTW)
Kotaku(and some other places i looked up) have got some great pictures that i have stolen below with a reunion of some of its stars...yes,amazingly,that's Harrison Ford
no sign of the twins(that's Luke and Leia BTW..sorry i just spoiled Jedi for you)..or Lucas for that matter

Billie Dee Williams(Lando),Harrison Ford(Han Solo),Peter Mayhew(Chewie) and Ewan Mcgregor (Obi Wan Kenobi)who wasn't in this film but he is welcome anyway(may be a good sport and standing in for Alec Guinness...who also played Ben Kenobi)

here is the original co-pilot and pilot of the Millenium Falcon

absolutely no difference is there?
