Does it fly out of my ass instantly? I had to cut straight to it. It seems each and everytime, I'd be in trouble after I eat this if I wasn't headed home right after. The oils, the rice? I have no clue. Anyone else enjoy this food on occasion and have similar "effects"?

So what did you actually eat? All 'habachi' means is charcoal grill, so it's not a food just a way to cook it. Perhaps it's more about the where than the what...

Steak, chicken, fried rice, veggies etc. Pretty much my standard habachi experience.

Do you mean teppanyaki (like Benihana) or something else?

My guess would be the 7 pounds of butter they put in everything.

I believe "hibachi" is widely used to described teppanyaki in the US. That's what I think of one I hear the word at least. Anyway, they use a ton of oil (and butter I guess?) so I would bet that's it. Never had that issue myself though.

That's gotta be it. Also, the 1,000,000 mg of sodium doesn't help. Boy is it tasty though.

If you have any food allergies you might get a reaction. My mom is allergic to seafood and since they usually are cooking shrimp alongside everything else she gets a reaction. She usually has to ask them to prepare her stuff first before the seafood goes down on the grill.

It seems like I wouldn't get the whole "experience" though. Part of that is running home clenching my cheeks hoping nothing flys out. Take that away, and it's just tasty food prepared by a man of Asian descent whom likes to throw around knives and make onion volcanoes!

hibachi does not equal teppanyaki
As for your problem. I can have problems with any spiced, rich food. Some teppanyaki will fit that description but I don't recall it being that bad for me. Italian food will do it to me. Even seafood depending on how it is prepared.
