What are your 'guilty pleasures' that some might not find to be socially acceptable?  If you'd care to share, jump on in.

I'll go first:

I like to fight.  I love sparring with other fighters and scrapping it up in the ring.  I'm not out to hurt anyone (although I've certainly thought of it) but I love the thrill of combat.  Its certainly not socially stigmatised but the 'violence doesn't solve anything' crowd certainly shuns me.

I also find that I relish making people uncomfortable.  Its not that I'm being an ass or arrogant, but I just (or so I'm told) am imposing and unnerving.  I guess I'm the joker in the deck and I like it.  Its certainly a prideful vice to have...

I enjoy intensly hot water. Nothing relaxes my muscles more than a hot bath. I just bought a jacuzzi and cant wait until it is hooked up.

It seems a little gay, but thats it.

I also like Carmel Mochiattamajigs.

That seems gay too.

I like Steven Seagal movies, Titanic (yes, the one with DiCraprio in it) and George Bush.

I also think "Armageddon" is a great movie.

I'm surprised I'm allowed on the internet.

Sue me.

I have a couple:

I love Depeche Mode and The Cure and 80's music like that.  And I very much like EBM/futurepop/goth/industrial music but am in no way a "goth."

I like bakery goods.  No, not like.  Love.  Though, I'm a pretty slim dude, so some days I go about eating perhaps two big cookies for lunch, a big brownie thing for dinner, and that's it for the day.  And I dislike candy besides atomic fireballs.

I don't take showers.  I only take baths.  Showers stink because I can only get one side of my body warm, whereas I can lie in and soak in a bathtub of water.  I even wrote a collegiate paper about my "shower vs. bath" debate.

I enjoy watching The O.C. as well as VH1 and A&E reality shows.

I guess that's about it!

I would enjoy bathing if I could get more than 1/3 of my body in the water at one time.  My bathtub is faitly short so I fit the back half of my upper body under water, or just my legs under water, so showers it is for me.

Being tall baths don't work and at least with a shower the dirt washes off your body with the water unlike a bath where it just pools up around you while you lay in the tub and then stays on you as it drains...

same thing here...although i don't feel guilty about it at all.  i'll gladly admit that some of my favorite bands are still Motley Crue, Guns 'n' Roses, Def Leppard, and Skid Row.  i've even met a lot of guys from various hair bands and have my picture with the one-armed drummer of Def Leppard

I keep wondering if KD is secretly me, and I just don't know it.  Originally from Southern Cal, now living in Arizona...weerie.

Anywho, mine would have to be 80s electronica, and any acapella music.

I thought the new host of "cheat" on G4 was annoying until the Halo 2 episode.  CNN is the best "news" network, because they hire hot bitches.  If Cheerleading or female tennis is on, I am watching, at the least slywink.

I like music that is considered scary noise by most people.  Mindless Self Indulgence.  Behemoth.  Atari Teenage Riot.  Six Feet Under.  Gangster rap about gats and drinking vodka raw is how I do, as well.

I am very calm.  Unless I am in a mall.  The preppy nature of the mall turns me into captain boisterous.

Atari Tennage Riot!  Hell yeah!  I loved them way back when "Breathe" was first released by Prodigy.  Their one and only single (I think it was, even called, Atari Teenage Riot, heh - could be wrong) kicked ass, so I bought the CD and was pleasantly surprised.  Good stuff!  And their second album is even more crazy than the first.

I have a few guilty pleasures I can't seem to get enough of (and hate admitting this but we will never meet - right?)
[list=1]
  • I'm a huge Neil Diamond fan!  I can't help singing out loud when I hear any of his songs.
  • Hillary Duff Movies
  • French Fries
  • Goldenberg's Peanut Chews

Oh boy...

- I usually watch at least one of the more kiddie Japan animation shows.  First it was Pokemon, then Digimon.  Currently I watch the Yugi-oh show.

- I will listen to pop music and own both N'Sync and Backstreet Boys CDs.  In my defense, I don't listen to the words, but use it for background music when I really need to work.  There's a lot of energy in the music, even if it's junk, and somehow it gets me working when I don't want to.

- Hair metal is a given.  Same reason as above.

- I love Disney World, despite having worked there for 4 months.  I also like most of the Disney flicks and even own two CDs worth of Disney music.

- I think I was one of the few white guys to really get into Public Enemy in the 80s.  Kind of funny to hear me chanting 'Fight the Power!' right along with Chuck D.

- Don't tell anyone, but I think I'm actually starting to like *certain* country music.  I'm pretty sure this is a sign that I'm losing my mind.

Well, from that list it seems my guilty pleasure is listening to just about any music type, even stuff that most folks my age can't stand.

Two more:

Nickelodeon.  There was about a year where that's about all I watched.  And I was in my late 20s smile

My retro gaming collection... I've spent nearly $2000 in the past year on old school Atari/Commodore stuff.

Holy shit, I have too many to count, but there are a few, and I stress only a few that I will share here:

I love all animated movies, and most cartoons-although I think most modern sunday morning cartoons are awful and I hate anime-yeah I said it, I like american kiddie cartoons, but not anime. Deal.

I like Rascall Flats and Kenny Chesney, but despise country music.

I too think Armageddon was not only an excellent movie, but a well filmed, emotional good time.

I think Troy rocked, and Van Helsing was damn good too thankyouvermuch.

I am absolutely addicted to Star Trek.I almost always have some episode or another going, however, to my extreme dismay and self-loathing, TNG has fallen closer towards the bottom of the series heap now that I have watched everything many times. I still love the characters and some epidsodes, and even about 2 whole seasons, but the quality of DS9 in particular was simply astoundingly better.

I too like most chick flicks.

I seem to have an odd man-crush on Brad Pitt and Ryan Reynolds. I will watch any movie they are in. Having said this, I am still mostly sure that I am completely heterosexual.

Depward is my hetero life partner. Sorry TML, you ignore me too much

I was thinking of restarting the Man-Crush thread I started back at GG.

Confession: I am no fan of country music, but I watch CMT every once in awhile, hoping to get a glimpse of Keith Urban's badass hair. Plus, they show some great live performances.

80's hair metal for me as well.  However, it's more regular pleasure than guilty.  I'll even go below the usual top tier bands to Quiet Riot, Ratt, Cinderella, etc.

For true guilty pleasure:  Gilmore Girls.
