I don't think it will replace facebook but facebook may change as a result which has to be a good thing - not sure how long I wanyt to run both for tbh but I love the circles concept

I don't know about you guys but the hype machine on this dropped like a rock. A bunch of my friends were using it shortly after launch, but it didn't seem to pick up steam and everyone went back to Facebook. Now my Google+ feed is pretty much the same three people posting stuff. Everyone else has in my circles seems to have abandoned it.

It seems to be really busy in some segments, especially IT, SEO and photography types seem to use the heck out of it. I am biased, but so far I think photographers are the model of how G+ can be a very powerful service, but time will tell if it can maintain enough traction outside of these 1%ers to survive. It will be interesting to see where things stand after a few months have passed, but I agree with a lot of folks it is struggling to maintain interest.

Yesterday they added search and a bunch of other features. Compared to the travesty that Facebook unleashed on us this morning, I think they will get some increased use.
