I got in but sadly it won't let me invite anyone at the moment. I like it more than facebook, managing your friends is awesomely easy with the whole circle thing. You can split and only view posts from different circles and you can only post to different circles, it's just so much more intuitive and simple than Facebook is. Google now owns even more of me than it did before.

Looks like they closed the invites and the loophole that people were using this morning to get around it has also been slammed shut. No way to get anyone else in at the moment. I'll send out invites as soon as I see they're available again.

I don't know, if all my Facebook friends start jumping ship I may consider it.
That's the problem. There's no way I want to deal with both Facebook and Google+. Unless there is some mass migration or compelling reason to switch it seems like most people will stick with FB.

I didn't mean that in the "it'll be really popular" way, I meant it in the "everybody will be leaving it for the new hot social bullshit" way, just like they left Myspace for Facebook and they're leaving Facebook for Google+.
You think it's cool now because your parents don't have an account there, but #1, people our age are parents, and #2 your parents will go where ever the stupid Oprah and evening news says they should and if the migration really starts it will eventually trickle down to them.

Except that unlike FB and MS, you can group your friends together so that you can have both your parents (who you don't want to know about your wild and crazy activities), and your party friends (who you do), and your <insert other category here> friends (who you don't). And then you can share with just the group(s) that you want instead of broadcasting to everyone. (I think.) (I too would like an invite, it's <my GT username>@gmail)

So far, it seems pretty decent... but the lack of people on right now make things a little slow.
I really like the circle idea. Choose who you share what with. How did facebook miss something like that? I can have Mom & Grandma in my "I'm studying all day today!" circle and my friends in the "Hey, lets go to the bar and get hammered tonight!" circle. It seems pretty nice.
The "feeling" of it reminds me a lot of facebook in terms of layout. It's simple and clean.
So far, so good.

Facebook didn't miss it; they did it with "Lists:" It was just so poorly implemented that people like you didn't even know the feature existed. Even if you knew it existed, it wasn't very easy to use.

Rapidly getting top the point where people our age are the GRANDparents. Not quite yet, but getting there.

It's not even the ads. I use Adblock Plus, but here's the problem:
Let's say that you say you like "Parks and Recreation." Of course you like P&R. It's awesome. Afterwards, in your news feed, you'll have tons of notifications from P&R. "Aziz Ansari appeared on Conan!" "New episode tonight!" "Sneak peek at next week's episode!" "Here's Ron Swanson in his underwear!" You can't turn them off unless you decide that you don't like P&R.
Whereas before, you had a news feed full of your friends, now you have to comb through your news feed to pick out real news from all the crap news that you get there. It's annoying.

You can turn those off, you click on the little X that appears when you mouse over. You can hide that single post, or you can hide all posts by P&R. You can do it for friends too. It doesn't make you "Unlike" the page either.
