Well it's time to say goodbye to Fry,Bender and co..... again,as the final 13 episodes(second half of season 7) will be shown June 19th and end on September 4th with 140 episodes under its Astrobelt

Comedy Central has decided not to renew Futurama, which means that the 31st-century-set animated comedy will end its 140-episode run on Sept. 4. The final 13 episodes, which represent the second half of season 7, begin airing on June 19 at 10 p.m.

Gutted about this, although the UK is massively behind the U.S for Futurama(and the season numbering is different),I still love this show, and been tuning in every week.

Matt Groening's other Animated Show The Simpsons is on its 25th season...although i can't say i have seen a new episode for a long time,so have no idea how well that is holding up

I was just getting into Futurama again, so this is a bummer.

Simpsons has been on a bit of an upswing lately, IMO, but still nowhere near their heyday.

I haven't seen any of the relaunched Futurama. How has it stacked up against the classic season?

I have been laughing,i also find it a tad more daring in places

It still has the pop culture and every Sci Fi movie references, but Zapp Branigan needs to be used more(he always needs to be used more!)

Last episode i saw(which will show how behind we are),Bender had died and was haunting Fry,so Fry rang for the Ghostbusters but got a recorded message that says  "The number you have dialled has been lame since 1989!”

Sad to see it go, but it's time.  The new episodes are still good, but not quite up to the caliber of the first four seasons, and they've long since run out of ways to keep Leela and Fry's relationship going/not going.  140 episodes over 14 years is a great run.

Maybe it's just me, but it seemed like since they returned on CC, they've been more apt to go with lower, crude humor than previously.  I still love the show, don't get me wrong; but it just seemed like they'd go down the easy road in that aspect more.

I watched the first four or five episodes when it came back, and it didn't seem to have the same magic.

I just hope they bring back Fry's dog somehow for one last heartbreak at the season finale.

7 seasons is a good run. Best put it away before the quality dips too much.

Shows that come back never seem to have the same chemistry or magic.  Which is why I worry about arrested development.
