Sorry for the graphics question.  However I really need some suggestions.
When I take Immodium-AD I end up with a lot of pain and cramping when it takes hold.  It ends up being just as bad as the problem itself.

So does anyone have some home remedies (ginger root, or chinese herbals?), or another over-the-counter medicine that works well for them?

Thanks for the help.

Imodium AD's always done the trick for me.

Posts about how often you shit, posts about diarreah, pm's with pictures of aborted babies.. just doesn't get any better

I'd suggest peptobismo (sp?) always seems to work for me. I woudn't trust anything else. Never tried Imodium AD but apparently it's not working for him.

Oops.  Sorry.  Must've skimmed that part of the sentence.  I'd suggest looking at the pharmacy and trying something else listed as anti-diarrheal.  Just make sure it doesn't have the same active ingredient as Imodium.

I had no idea pepto-bismal was an anti-diarrhea medication.  That may be a good option for me.

We are taught in massage school that rubbing the belly counter clockwise will help with diarrhea. Haven't tried it myself but some say it helps.

LOL, good one, Crayola!

Pepto Bismol, since some have recommended it.... I'll add my two cents, re: using it for nausea.  I can't seem to swallow the stuff, but the Pepto Tabs are perfectly edible - think Canada Mints, sorta...

PS - Sorry to hear your meds and condition are acting up on you, J!  I'll answer your last email as soon as I get my head above water... glug...  confused
